They have strategically positioned their quarry in Katrap – near the upcoming proposed highway, to enhance the supply dynamics amongst the government authorized project management companies and local contractors.

Geological Setting – Mineral Deposits of Badlapur

Badlapur, located in Thane district, Maharashtra, is home to abundant granite and basalt deposits, making it a key hub for aggregate production. These igneous rock formations are known for their high compressive strength, durability, and weather resistance, making them ideal for use in concrete, asphalt, and road construction. However, their high abrasiveness makes processing difficult, requiring robust and wear-resistant crushing equipment.

The Challenge

P.G. Stone Crusher faced challenges in producing GSB, -40mm, -10mm and –5mm aggregates, M-Sand, and P-Sand at high capacity and consistent quality. Their previous setup struggled with excessive wear, frequent breakdowns, and suboptimal product gradation. Additionally, meeting stringent construction material specifications while keeping operational costs low was becoming increasingly difficult. To enhance productivity, improve sand quality, and reduce downtime, they required a high-performance, multi-stage processing plant designed for granite and basalt crushing.

The Solution

To address these challenges, Taurian MPS provided a fully integrated, 4 stage crushing and washing solution tailored for high-strength rock processing.

The process begins with the Primary Jaw Crusher (TJ 300), designed for large feed sizes up to 750mm, ensuring efficient primary crushing. This high-capacity jaw crusher delivers an output size of 150mm, allowing for smooth downstream processing.

The secondary stage features the CG 300 Cone Crusher, which reduces material to 50mm while providing high crushing efficiency and superior particle shape.

For tertiary crushing, T 300 VSI crusher is deployed for reducing material to 20mm, ensuring precise gradation control.

To ensure proper screening and gradation, the plant includes two high-performance screening units:

  • CMS 2060 – IV Deck Screen (Pre-screening and final aggregate separation)
  • CMS 2060 – IV Deck Screen (Fine sand classification)

For superior sand quality, the system is integrated with the Cyclowash TWS 200B Sand Washing Plant, which efficiently removes silt, clay, and ultra-fines, ensuring high-grade M-Sand and P-Sand suitable for concrete and plaster applications.
