In the iron-rich heartland of central India, Pacific Iron Manufacturing Limited, under the leadership of Mr. Nikhil Pandey, has played a pioneering role in supplying processed ore and construction aggregates for industrial, rail, and road projects. Back in 2012, the company invested in a 2-stage wheeled crushing plant from Taurian—one of our earliest full mobile setups. After over a decade of successful operation, Pacific Iron reaffirmed its trust in Taurian by upgrading to our latest, more versatile jaw and cone crushing units in 2024.

Geological Setting – Iron Ore and Hard Rock Belt of Jabalpur

The Jabalpur region is known for its dense hematite deposits and granite intrusions, making it ideal for mining and crushing operations. However, the materials are highly abrasive, requiring machines with both strength and wear resistance. Additionally, production often must be adapted to variable feed—ranging from iron-bearing rock to hard stone aggregate.

The Challenge

While the original 2-stage wheeled plant installed in 2012 had served Pacific Iron reliably for over 10 years, rising production demands, broader material types, and updated project specifications required a new level of flexibility, efficiency, and automation. The older crushers, though mechanically sound, lacked the modern hydraulic features, improved nip angle design, and adjustability required for today’s processing efficiency and shape control.

The Solution

Upgrade to New-Generation Taurian Primary & Secondary Stations.

Key Features of the Upgraded System:

  • Versatile Feed Handling: Capable of crushing both iron ore and high-grade construction aggregates
  • Improved Reduction Ratios: Enhanced chamber geometry delivers better particle shape and uniformity
  • Hydraulic Adjustments: Fast, tool-less CSS changes and overload protection
  • Modular Transition: The upgrade retained civil and layout foundations, minimizing plant downtime

Results and Impact

Post-upgrade, Pacific Iron Manufacturing achieved a 30% increase in plant output, with enhanced shape control and a significant drop in unplanned maintenance. The crushing system now handles dual material streams—iron ore and building aggregates—without frequent setup changes.

Additional benefits:

  • Extended wear life due to upgraded liner materials
  • Reduced fuel consumption per ton
  • Faster CSS adjustment and downtime recovery
  • Future-ready plant, compatible with automation and smart load monitoring

This successful long-term partnership highlights Pacific Iron’s forward-thinking operational mindset and Taurian’s ability to scale with the customer—offering not just machinery, but continuity and performance evolution.
