Industry Leader in Industrial-Grade Silica Sand

Radhe Govind Stone Crusher is a prominent supplier of high-quality silica sand based in Rajasthan. With a reputation for delivering industrial-grade material suitable for glass manufacturing, paints, and specialty applications, the company has steadily built a strong presence in northern India. In 2023, several silica sand and China clay mining projects received environmental and regulatory clearances from the government, which triggered a surge in market demand across multiple sectors. This rapid expansion in end-use industries further emphasized the need for Radhe Govind to scale up and modernize its operations.

As demand for high-purity silica continues to rise, Radhe Govind recognized the need to upgrade its processing capabilities to produce cleaner, drier, and higher-value silica sand—while also conserving water in a resource-scarce region.

The plant is strategically located within Rajasthan’s mineral-rich belt, enabling efficient access to key markets and regulatory frameworks. To meet the exacting demands of its industrial clients, the company partnered with Taurian MPS for a comprehensive, high efficiency washing solution.

Geological Setting – Silica-Rich Deposits of Rajasthan

Rajasthan is well known for its abundant mineral resources, including high-grade silica sand. The silica found in this region is rich in quartz and generally exhibits favourable properties for industrial use. However, natural impurities, such as clay and ultra-fines, often reduce its suitability for high-end applications unless processed correctly. Compounding this challenge is the arid climate of Rajasthan, which limits water availability for processing, making traditional wet washing methods less feasible.

The Challenge

Radhe Govind faced several issues with its previous setup, including excessive fines, inconsistent gradation, and high moisture in the final sand product. These limitations impacted their ability to supply material that met the stringent specifications required by clients in the glass and paints industry.

Additionally, being in a water-stressed region of Rajasthan meant that the company had to find a solution that could balance the dual objectives of improving product quality while minimizing water usage. The need for a high-throughput, low-maintenance plant that could consistently deliver in-spec silica sand was critical to maintaining their market leadership.

The Solution

Taurian MPS offered a turnkey solution with the installation of its 200 TPH Bucketwheel Plant – TWS200B, specifically designed to process high-grade silica sand in dry regions like Rajasthan.

The system features dual hydrocyclones with custom-engineered spigots to efficiently remove ultra-fines and contaminants. These are followed by a bucketwheel classifier for effective dewatering and moisture reduction, delivering sand ready for immediate use or transport.

Designed for minimal water dependency, the plant includes water recovery and recycling systems to reduce freshwater intake dramatically. The modular design ensures ease of installation, operation, and scalability, making it a future-ready asset for Radhe Govind’s operations.
