The Journey: From 2-Stage to 3-Stage Crushing

Phase 1: Laying the Foundation with a Two-Stage Plant

In 2017, Govardhani Constructions partnered with Taurian to install a 2-stage crusher plant, powered by a Taurian TJ300 Primary Jaw Crusher and CG250 Secondary Cone Crusher. This configuration was perfect for producing coarse aggregates for road base and structural backfill, handling basalt and laterite with ease.

Phase 2: Upgrading to a 3-Stage Setup with VSI

By 2021, with stricter demands from infrastructure clients and a growing footprint in plaster sand and concrete sand supply, Mr. Mhatre made a strategic decision: invest in a 3-stage crushing solution with advanced shaping capability.

Taurian added the T300 Vertical Shaft Impact Crusher (VSI) to the existing setup, transforming the plant into a high-performance unit capable of delivering well-graded, cubical M-sand and 10–20 mm concrete aggregates.

Operating near urban zones in Mumbai, Govardhani Constructions needed a setup that balanced production efficiency, environmental compliance, and low downtime. Terrain variations, inconsistent raw material sizes, and noise control were all key considerations. Additionally, upgrading from a two-stage to a three-stage plant without disrupting existing operations required precise planning and seamless execution.
