The Role

The Accounts & Finance Head will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations, statutory compliance, budgeting, and strategic financial planning of the organization. This leadership role involves managing day-to-day accounting activities, cash flow, audits, and financial reporting while ensuring alignment with business goals and regulatory frameworks. The ideal candidate should have strong technical expertise in accounting standards, finance management, and team leadership, along with a proactive and detail-oriented approach.

Responsibilities.

  • Lead the accounting and finance function, ensuring accuracy in financial records and timely reporting.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements as per applicable accounting standards.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for effective financial planning.
  • Oversee statutory audits, tax filings, and ensure full compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other financial regulations.
  • Monitor cash flow, working capital, and fund management across business operations.
  • Implement internal financial controls and ensure process compliance in all financial activities. Liaise with banks, auditors, and external agencies for finance-related matters.
  • Guide and mentor the accounts team to maintain high performance and adherence to timelines.
  • Present financial reports, dashboards, and key performance metrics to senior management.
  • Support strategic decision-making with financial insights and risk analysis.

Requirements

  • Education: CA / CMA / MBA in Finance (preferred) or Master’s in Commerce or Accounting.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum 10–12 years of experience in core accounting and financial management roles.
  • Prior experience in a leadership capacity within a manufacturing, project-based, or engineering company preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Indian accounting standards, tax laws, and financial regulations.
  • Skills:
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Tally, ERP systems) and MS Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict reporting deadlines.
  • Sound understanding of commercial finance, costing, and financial risk management.
