The Role

The Engineer – Planning & Dispatch will be responsible for production planning, material readiness, and coordination of dispatch activities for project-based deliveries. This role plays a critical part in aligning procurement, manufacturing, and logistics to ensure timely delivery of products and components as per project timelines. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of supply chain operations, planning tools, and dispatch documentation, with strong communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

Hardware Support:

  • Prepare production and dispatch plans based on project schedules and material availability.
  • Coordinate with internal departments (production, stores, logistics) to ensure timely readiness of goods.
  • Track project-wise dispatch requirements and align with dispatch priorities.
  • Generate picklists, packing lists, and coordinate with logistics for dispatch execution.
  • Monitor inventory levels, raise material shortages, and follow up with procurement for fulfillment.
  • Ensure compliance with customer documentation, packaging, and labeling standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of dispatch status, material movement, and project fulfillment progress.
  • Collaborate with the SCM, quality, and planning teams for seamless project deliveries.
  • Support in preparing MIS reports, dispatch trackers, and shipment schedules.
  • Visit logistics partners or project sites as required for coordination.

Requirements

  • Education: Diploma or B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum 2–4 years of experience in production planning, dispatch coordination, or SCM roles.
  • Prior experience in a project-based manufacturing or capital equipment industry preferred.
  • Familiarity with dispatch documentation and logistics coordination is essential.
  • Skills:
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, and planning tools.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and coordination skills.
  • Workng knowledge of inventory management, BOM, and production workflows.
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities.
