The Role

The Erection & Commissioning Engineer will be responsible for the installation, alignment, testing, and commissioning of mechanical and electrical equipment at project sites. This role ensures that equipment and systems are installed as per design, safety, and quality standards, and are ready for operational use. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in site execution, troubleshooting, and coordination with internal teams, contractors, and clients.

Responsibilities.

  • Supervise and execute erection and commissioning activities at project sites.
  • Ensure proper installation and alignment of machinery and equipment as per layout and drawings.
  • Coordinate with design, production, and service teams for project planning and execution.
  • Perform functional and operational testing of equipment before handover.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical/electrical issues during commissioning and resolve them on-site.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and site standards during all project activities.
  • Prepare site reports, installation records, and commissioning documentation.
  • Train client personnel on the operation and maintenance of installed systems.
  • Liaise with contractors, vendors, and client representatives for smooth site execution.
  • Travel extensively to project sites (approx. 20–22 days/month) for supervision and support.

 

Requirements

  • Education: Diploma or B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in erection and commissioning of capital equipment or industrial systems.
  • Experience in handling projects related to crushing plants, process equipment, or material handling systems is preferred.
  • Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of site installation practices, alignment, and commissioning procedures.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and layout plans.
  • Excellent problem-solving and technical troubleshooting skills.
  • Good communication, team coordination, and documentation abilities.
  • Willingness to travel to remote project sites and work under site conditions.
