Senior Design Engineer

The Role 

The Senior Design Engineer will play a pivotal role in developing, improving, and customizing designs for crushing and screening equipment. This role demands advanced knowledge of mechanical design principles, proficiency in design tools, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver technically sound and production-ready engineering solutions. 

Responsibilities. 

• Design and develop 2D and 3D models of crushing equipment and related systems using CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, etc.). 

• Review and validate design calculations, tolerances, and specifications. 

• Collaborate with the manufacturing and service teams to ensure designs are feasible and maintainable. 

• Participate in prototyping, testing, and design validation phases. 

• Modify and improve existing designs to enhance performance, cost-effectiveness, and reliability. 

• Prepare and maintain BOM (Bill of Materials), GA drawings, and technical documentation. 

• Support project planning and ensure timely delivery of design packages. 

• Conduct design reviews and provide mentoring to junior design engineers. 

• Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. 

• Work closely with vendors and suppliers for design feasibility and production integration. 

Requirements 

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred) or related field. 

• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in the design of heavy equipment, preferably in the crushing and screening industry. 

• Proficiency in design and modeling software like AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, etc. 

• Strong knowledge of GD&T, material specifications, and manufacturing processes. 

• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously with a detail-oriented approach. 

• Good communication and teamwork skills.
