The Role

The Senior Service Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of capital equipment at client sites. This role involves providing technical support, ensuring high customer satisfaction, and mentoring junior service engineers. The ideal candidate should have in-depth experience in field service, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple service assignments across regions.

Responsibilities

  • Perform installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of equipment at customer sites.
  • Diagnose technical issues and ensure timely resolution to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance visits and recommend performance improvements.
  • Guide and mentor junior service engineers and support their technical training.
  • Maintain accurate service reports, installation documentation, and customer records.
  • Provide remote and on-site support to clients and coordinate with internal teams as needed.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through professional communication and timely service delivery.
  • Coordinate with the spare parts and logistics teams for availability of tools and components.
  • Travel extensively (approx. 20–22 days/month) for service visits and technical support.
  • Comply with safety protocols and industry service standards during field operations.

Requirements

  • Education: Diploma or B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum 5–7 years of experience in service and maintenance of capital or industrial equipment.
  • Prior experience in crushing plants, mining machinery, or heavy industrial machines is preferred.
  • Exposure to client interaction and technical training responsibilities is an advantage.
  • Skills:
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Proficient in reading technical drawings and using diagnostic tools.
  • Good communication and customer handling skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple service tasks independently.
  • Willingness to travel extensively and work in site environments.
